The following is a statement from Manage Your Damn Money CEO, Ben Carter
Washington, DC – “Today we learned the “My Big Show” competition has come to a close with the submission, “The District”, earning the most votes and the grand prize of rights to produce a new show on Howard University’s PBS affiliate station, WHUT-TV.
“Though we are disappointed Manage Your Damn Money was not able to collect enough votes to win, we are encouraged by the presence of a competition giving a platform and opportunity to content creators like MYDM.
“We applaud WHUT-TV and its producers for stepping out to give local producers and film-makers the chance to tell important stories of the District of Columbia. We must also thank each and every person who voted for MYDM. The support of our friends, fans and supporters is nothing short of amazing.
“Though we did not win this competition, MYDM will continue to push the boundaries in the way we talk about money to bring more people to greater confidence in their ability to manage, use and grow their personal finances.”
