Manage Your Damn Money Launches on Tax Day 2014

-- For Immediate Release --

April 14, 2013

Washington, DC – In the midst of Financial Literacy Month and on Tax Day 2014, the brand new web series talk show, Manage Your Damn Money with Ben Carter (MYDM) has launched and is now airing online at www.manageyourdamnmoney.com.

MYDM is hosted by Ben Carter, an obsessively frugal 20-something who once held onto a $50 dollar bill for two years before his father used it for gas. Carter is now focused on turning his secret affinity for “life-lived-cheaply” into a new kind of learning experience for millennials who can’t seem to get a hold of their pocket book.

“We’re extremely excited to bring an in-your-face, smack-down attitude to money management entertainment,” said Carter “We want people to feel empowered and capable of being smart with their money and to have more open conversations about how they’re doing it.”

Manage Your Damn Money takes a novel approach to teaching about personal finances through interviews with money professionals and musical artists who share their stories about money, being broke, being less broke and the lessons they’ve learned along their way. MYDM will be releasing webisodes on a week-to-week basis in the lead up to an impending book release.

“We’re bringing a whole new feel to finance education rooted in storytelling with a pop culturally relevant bend,” said Carter. “We’re excited to finally deliver this project to the public and hope all interested in learning about personal finances will give the show a chance.”
